MARY ELLEN BAKER 56, of 4288 Westover, employee of Astor Jewelers, died of cancer Tuesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital East. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Wells Station Baptist Church, where she was a charter member, with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery East. Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel has charge. She also was a choir member at the church. Mrs. Baker, the wife of James West Baker, also leaves two sons, James Chris Baker and Roger Dale Baker, both of Memphis; two sisters, Willie Mae Cousar of Blue Mountain, Miss., and Martha Speck of Memphis; a brother, Larry Robbins of Millington, and two grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Wells Station Baptist Church.
